fit20 UK Ends 2025

with 50% Membership Growth

fit20 UK has closed 2025 with a landmark year of growth, recording a 50% increase in national membership numbers as more people prioritise strength training as a foundation for long-term health and wellbeing..

The brand’s unique proposition (delivering supervised strength training in just 20 minutes per week), continues to resonate with a growing audience who are moving away from quick fixes and aesthetics-led fitness, and towards a more sustainable, health-focused approach.

People are no longer just training for how they look, they're investing in their future health

Strength training for life, not just the short term

Backed by the world’s largest strength-training study, the fit20 method focuses on slow, controlled resistance training designed to improve muscle strength, bone density, mobility, and overall resilience, all key components of healthy ageing and injury prevention.

This science-based approach appeals to a broad demographic, including busy professionals, older adults, and people who have never felt comfortable in traditional gym environments. Rather than chasing trends, members are investing in a method that supports independence, confidence and quality of life well into later years.

“We’re seeing a real shift in mindset,” said Niri Patel, National Director of fit20 UK. “People are no longer just training for how they look, they’re investing in their future health. Strength training is now recognised as essential for longevity and wellbeing, and that’s exactly what fit20 delivers through our local studios.”

A Growing UK network

The past year has also seen continued expansion of the fit20 UK network, with fit20 Glossop set to open in January 2026 as the brand’s 16th UK location. A further four studios are scheduled to open in early 2026, reflecting strong demand and growing interest in the fit20 franchise opportunity.

fit20 continues to attract franchise owners from a wide range of professional backgrounds, including law, finance, education, healthcare, and corporate roles, many of whom are seeking a more meaningful, people-focused career.

A strong franchise community

In November, franchise owners gathered for the fit20 UK Franchise Conference, a two-day event focused on learning, collaboration and shared success. Sessions were led by global founders Walter Vendel and Bram Kroeske, alongside industry experts and studio owners who shared practical insights on growth, retention, and operational excellence.

The conference reinforced fit20’s four core values:

  • Personal Attention
  • Realising Potential
  • Learning is Everything
  • We Share Success

These values continue to underpin the brand’s culture and long-term success.

Looking ahead to 2026

With increasing awareness of the importance of strength training for long-term health, fit20 UK enters 2026 with strong momentum, a proven business model and growing demand across the country.

“We’re incredibly proud of what the network has achieved this year,” Niri added. “But more importantly, we’re excited about what’s ahead, helping more people live stronger, healthier lives and welcoming new franchise owners who share our purpose.”

If you’re considering joining the fit20 network, we'd love to start the conversation.

Wishing you a wonderful festive period and every success in 2026.

We look forward to meeting you in the new year.
