Tell us a bit about your background.
Central to my life has always been sport and fitness. I have participated in a wide variety of sports at all different levels from socially through to internationally representing South Africa at triathlon World Championships. I currently compete in the sport of Canicross (cross country running with a dog) and will be representing Great Britain at the Word Canicross Championships. Sport teaches us so many life lessons such as learning to deal with success and failure, patience and determination, leadership and sportsmanship, courage and confidence to name a few. These lessons have helped me in business and I am sure I will need to call upon them in establishing a flourishing fit20 studio in Edinburgh, but more importantly in developing them in the members that come to the studio.
Prior to launching the first studio in Edinburgh, I had spent thirty years running a sports coaching franchise for young children. I have always been passionate about developing fundamentals skills and as well as the physical development, focused extensively on the development of life skill such as confidence, concentration, social interaction, etc. Being able to make a difference in the life of a child was extremely rewarding. It is now a privilege to have the opportunity to continue that passion in seeing adults grow and add value to their lives.
How did you come across fit20?
At a crossroads in life, I discovered fit20 online while searching for possible career opportunities. Franchising is a great concept to having business owner benefits as well as the added benefits of duplicating a successful model with all the support required in doing so. As for the concept of fit20, I was sceptical at first but intrigued to find out more. The more I looked into it, together with discussions with the fantastic UK team (both head office team and franchisees alike) I was convinced. The wonderful stories from members whose lives have been transformed, the success of franchisees across the world in running successful studios and the overwhelming scientific research proving the results of fit20 was more than enough for me to want to become part of the team and be able to make a real positive change in people’s lives.
Why do you believe in fit20?
All the benefits of a fit and healthy lifestyle are made easier by the concept of fit20; twenty minutes once a week, fits perfectly for those that have busy lifestyles, not having to change or shower afterwards allows members to do their session and save time to get on with their day. The extremely safe method of training prevents injuries and all the frustrations that come with that. An expert and professional personal trainer that guides, encourages and gets the most out of your session for you in a calm, peaceful and private environment are some of the reasons our members keep coming back to fit20 year after year.
fit20 is a fantastic concept and I am proud and pleased to bring this innovative method of training to Scotland.
If you are wondering about the fit20 training method, wonder no more, get booked in for a free trial and add strength into your life.
