Why fit20 was the best fit to grow
a succesful health and fitness business for me
Kieran is the franchise owner of fit20 Moortown and fit20 Farsley in Leeds, we dug a little deeper into his decision to become a fit20 franchise owner.

What appealed to you about fit20, over that of a regular gym or personal trainer role?
'In the fitness industry there’s very little that’s meaningfully different (what Seth Godin would call a purple cow), however, fit20 is incredibly different from anything else out there that I knew of, which meant that it would be easy to differentiate us from ‘just another gym’ or PT.'
What were your first impressions of the fit20 concept?
'I knew the offer (fit in 20 minutes per week) would appeal to a large percentage of the population so I would have no problem selling it as long as it worked!'
What were the main benefits of the fit20 franchise that helped you to make the decision to become a franchise owner?
'The brand had a very professional look and feel - something that I could be proud to be a part of (studio, uniforms, logo, trainers app and the whole fit20 formula) and could see others would want to be a part of too.
Since reading The E-myth in 2006 I’d been working on building a business rather than just having a job. A business that didn’t rely heavily on me as an expert for it to work. As soon as I saw fit20 I realised they’d already done much of the legwork (and to a higher standard than I could) - so investing in it would fast track my knowledge about what a systemised, scalable business looks like.
I could see the simplicity of the model would make it easy for others (PTs) to put the formula to work and get similar (or better results) for members - freeing me up to do whatever... and still have income.
I also felt that if you’re in the industry then competing against fit20 is probably a losing battle. From the potential customers' point of view: if you don’t really love exercise, but know you should, why would you train several times per week if you can likely get the same or better results training once a week?
So I thought if you can’t beat them... join them!
And I can honestly say that I am glad I did; I am already looking at opening my third fit20 studio.'
If you are wondering about the fit20 training method, wonder no more, get booked in for a free trial and add strength into your life.
