Brian's Journey to Strength:
A fit20 Transformation
Brian is a member at fit20 Edinburgh South Gyle. We asked him to share his experience with fit20 so far.
“Getting fitter and stronger by doing a 20 minute workout a week...aye right that's not gonna work!!! Yep, that was me at the start of my journey with Warwick at fit20.
When I went to chat with Warwick I had an ok level of fitness, not the best eating habits and was coming up to my 48th birthday and just felt I needed to do something for my mental and physical health to allow me to stay as active as possible in the years to come.
We look forward to making a positive contribution to the community.
The space where you do the sessions isn't like a typical gym, it's incredibly calm and welcoming and you can do the sessions in your everyday normal clothes (yep no hiding my belly under a baggy top).
Warwick explained the science bit behind fit20 about slow motion training and I nodded in agreement, not fully understanding what he was telling me about 4 muscle fibres and 3 different contraction types but bloody heck he knows his stuff and my results have been pretty impressive for me and my journey (my graph showed a 20% increase in strength after only 12 sessions).
I now have a grip on my eating habits (mostly) and am feeling fitter, stronger and not having to tactically breathe to get into my jeans each morning.
I cannot recommend Warwick and fit20 highly enough!”
