Please introduce yourself
My name is Steve Tilson, I'm 66 years old and I'm a Senior Sales Manager in Leeds.
What made you interested in trying fit20?
I’m 66 years old now, and I felt as if I was getting old. I had achy joints, pain in my back, going up stairs getting out of chairs, I’d be moaning and groaning thinking wow, is this it?
Why does fit20 work for you?
We’ve all been to conventional gyms over the years, I’ve joined loads of them. And the big problem is motivation.
The difference with fit20 is you have a 1 to 1 Personal Trainer, you have a specific time once per week to come along and it’s for 20 minutes.
That to me made all the difference. Because those nights when you got home from work, looked out the window and it was dark, wet and rainy and thought: 'I’ll go to the gym tomorrow'. Tomorrow never comes.
With fit20 you make that extra effort because you know someone’s waiting for you at the other end.
What differences have you noticed in yourself since starting?
There’s been a huge difference in my strength and stamina since coming to fit20. The aches and pains in joints have just disappeared. It has sort of wiped 10 years off me. And it’s a staggering change for such a short time. Once per week has made a huge difference.
What would you say to anyone who's not sure if fit20 can work for them?
Anyone who’s thinking about attempting to get fit, at any age, but particularly in my age bracket and is sat thinking 'Oh, I’m getting old, what can I do? Can I do anything? Do I want to do anything? I’d recommend this is the one thing to do!'
