Different muscle

fiber types

Each of your muscles contains 4 different muscle fiber types. These are present in different concentrations in each muscle. Each person also has different percentages of these 4 types.

Strength changes everything.

This accounts for why some people are better at sprints and others at long distance running.

The fit20 training method is unique because it engages all 4 muscle fiber types in an orderly fashion. This is one of the components that makes fit20 so effective. Even during an intense run, it is unlikely that you would engage the Type 2B fibers. With the fit20 method you first tire out the Type1 fibers, then the Type 2A and Type 2AB fibers. At the very maximum of your effort you use the Type 2B fibers. This produces a very strong signal for your body to make beneficial changes.

Strength changes everything.
